Ayodhya Kaand- Vanvaas King Dasarath desired that Rama be made his successor. However, his second queen Kaikai wanted her son Bharat to be made the king and Rama sent way in the exile for Fourteen yars in lieu of two boons grated to her by him. In order to keep his father's promise, Rama happily renounced the thtonr and left for the forestd. his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman accompanied him. |
