Sundar Kand- Sursa Hanuman was the son of the Lord of wind, thus known as “Pavanoutra”. He volunteered to fly to Lanka in search of Sita. As he took off, Sursa a Demon appeared from the Sea. She demanded m=nothing could cross the sea without entering her mouth. Hanuman increased his size. As he did so Sursa also increases the width of her mouth. Suddenly Hanuman reduces his size, entered the mouth of sursa and before she could realize, he came out flying and proceeded towards Lanka. |
