ARDHANARANARI Ardhanarnari or Ardhanariswar represents the perception of the unity of conflicting, yet complementing elements in us: the existence of Shakti and Shiva, the male and female attribute every human being possesses. The left side is feminine and the right side masculine. Shiva is complete with his consort, and even now no ritual can be performed without the wife on the left side. |
